About

I was both blessed and cursed to grow up in the Midwest. Blessed in ways I didn’t fully appreciate until I got older—raised to be kind, to value hard work, to find joy in the simple things. Cursed in the sense that I dreamed of surfing the coast or snowboarding in the mountains, but that wasn’t my reality.

Here, we don’t take those things for granted. When we do get the chance to see mountains, we stop and stare. When we visit the ocean, we soak it in like we may never see it again. That’s what growing up in the heartland teaches you—gratitude, perspective, and a deep appreciation for the world beyond your own backyard.

At an early age, I found myself drawn to fashion and design—something that felt out of place in the Midwest, especially before social media when trends took years to reach us. My first real project was bringing an idea to a local screen printer, and the moment I saw someone wearing my design, I knew this was how I was going to leave my mark.

That drive led me to LA, where I co-founded FNL Denim. What started as frustration over a poorly made (and overpriced) pair of jeans turned into an obsession with craftsmanship & denim. We taught ourselves how to sew, sourced high-quality selvedge denim, collected industrial machines and turned a basement project into a full-scale business. We brought the vision to life with a brick-and-mortar storefront—a space where customers could design their own bespoke jeans from the ground up. They selected the denim, thread color, hardware and most importantly the perfect fit, every detail was in their hands. And every stitch was done in-house, by us, on the machines we had spent years mastering. When we opened our doors, the response was overwhelming—lines out the door, and within a week, a four-month waitlist.

FNL Denim was built on passion and sheer determination. And while that chapter eventually came to a close, it shaped everything I do. The drive to create, the obsession with quality, and the belief that great ideas can come from anywhere—including the Midwest.

That belief led me to start Flatlands Supply Co. It’s a return to my roots—but with a new perspective. Flatlands is for the ones who carve their own path, who don’t wait for permission to create something great. It’s for the kids sketching designs in their notebooks, wondering if it’s possible. It’s for the Midwest—the overlooked, the underestimated, the ones proving creativity belongs here, too.

But Flatlands isn’t just about designing and selling hats—it’s about building something bigger. We’re here to put the Midwest on the map. It’s about craftsmanship, storytelling, and creating pieces that people connect with. Every product is made with the same attention to detail and quality that’s been ingrained in me since the start. Because the Midwest has always had something to say, and now, we’re making sure people hear it.
